The Bumpskey Show

The Bumpskey Show was started because a man lived a life of physical pain but found some relief in music. The man was Peter and when he died his sister wanted to do something good that he would have enjoyed. Peter was a man with a different view on life and had an unusual sense of humor. The Bumpskey Show was born in 1999 at the turn of the century. After figuring out how we could broadcast to the world when most people still had dial-up connections was not a simple task. But on 9/26/2000 the first show went out live over the internet. From that first night we had an open door policy and a member of a band knocked on our door to see what was going on. I did about a year of 12 hour shows 7 days a week rarely taking off because the cost of doing a show back then was so great I didn't want to waste a min. After that year we added a live Saturday night audio/video broadcast to our list of achievements. When 9/11/01 came the bar was closed and we no longer did a broadcast from NYC on Saturday nights. Now after 36 hour telethons (one with 30 or more live bands performing in my living room and kitchen), 3 Bumpskey Bashes, broadcasting in a virtual world, being on other internet radio stations, and video taping bands live at bars The Bumpskey Show is ready to take over TV.  We recently started a TV series to promote independent artists. So spread the word to your friends in bands, your bandmates, your family, and friends:
